(7/15/2021) Day Seven at Grace Baptist Church Internship

Day seven at the internship at Grace Baptist Church was three hours, which is from 9:50 am to 12:50 pm. Daniel wanted me to brainstorm about creating a mood board with a color palette that shows the mood I plan on making. He introduced me to a color scheme generator website called Coolers where I could upload one of my Salt and Light moodboards to see what are their five main colors. Daniel also shared three videos with me about different people showing the audience how to create a moodboard. He then wanted me to sketch out five ideas for a "Salt and Light" art project based on one of my photos in one of my moodboards. Daniel liked the idea of me creating an artwork that fuses the light bulb and salt shaker, which will be based on one of my photos in my first moodboard that has a light bulb with a salt shaker head having salt pour out of it. I used adobe photoshop to upload my sketch and then I traced it using a normal brush tool and a pen tool that Daniel decided I should learn to use to straighten my lines. I wanted to make the salt shaker's base yellow with a light yellow contact wire and filament. I even made the gold back lines and certain white areas of the base faded to give it a glass-like texture. I used two different types of brushes to make the glow and Daniel wanted me to make faded yellow strokes on top and the top sides of the base. I outlined the white salt in the salt shaker's base and deleted the black line and added details to make the salt look better. I made the salt shaker lid to the bottom and colored it grey with additional detail. The hardest part was creating the salt pouring out because Daniel wanted the salt to look similar to one of my photos in my first moodboard. I used a brush stroke tool that is closest to how salt looks like. I made the white salt faded and then add another layer to create an unfaded flow of salt. I then deleted my uploaded sketch in photoshop in the background and replaced it with a black background. I stopped for day seven with three hours, with a total of twenty hours and seventeen minutes.
