(6/25/2021) Day Four at Grace Baptist Church Internship

Image
Day four at the internship at Grace Baptist Church was three hours and twenty-one minutes, which is from 9:37 am to 12:58 pm. I was finishing up my slide for Daniel on Adobe Photoshop that says "Give Gives Testimonies & Ice Cream Social" and then "Thursday, July 1st 7:00 pm Jireh Place". I decided to make the "Give Gives Testimonies & Ice Cream Social" three-dimensional, but it took a while to understand how to drag objects on the software. Daniel told me to delete the chocolate ice cream bar and then draw the microphone next to the detailed pink ice cream. I drew the Grace Gives logo below "Give Gives Testimonies & Ice Cream Social" and above "Thursday, July 1st 7:00 pm Jireh Place" and added a comma after the date July 1st for grammar. Daniel then wanted me to carry his lights to the church's auditorium. I helped Daniel display lighting, set up the film camera, and helped record for Brady Wolcott's church video for...

(6/24/2021) Day Three at Grace Baptist Church Internship

Day three at the internship at Grace Baptist Church was four hours and five minutes, which is from 9:37 am to 1:42 pm. I started finishing up my picture of thorns surrounding the faded flower on Procreate for the Parable of the Sower project. I finished up my thorns on the plants from each of the two layers and created the two clouds and the sun. Daniel then told me to recreate the picture of the plant dying with the stone ground but this time on procreate instead of Adobe Spark. I made the light blue sky, made the plant brown with some green on the leaves and stem, made the roots, made tiny rocks covering the ground and surrounding the roots, and made the two clouds and sun. I then made one more picture for the project with has a sky blue background, brownish soil, tan roots, a bright green stem and leaves, and a red flower with stamens on it. I even added the two clouds and sun as I did with my three other illustrations. Daniel then had me create one of the slides for church service ...

(6/18/2021) Day Two at Grace Baptist Church Internship

Day two at the internship at Grace Baptist Church was three hours. Daniel was absent at the church from 10:00 am to 12:12 pm because he had to attend a meeting and tasked me to use Adobe Spark for the next part of my Parable of the Sower Project while he was gone. I used a light blue color for my squared background. I used pictures from google and sent them to my Gmail so that I can send them to my phone and use an app called Magic Eraser to crop them and use them to put together and create an artwork of a plant dying and the stone ground that I sketched out again but this time in a small drawing pad. It took a while to erase bits of the cropped plant image that still had tiny pieces of the background surrounding the roots that needed to be erased. I had to use websites, including Clipping Magic and RemoveBg for certain pictures because the Magic Eraser app does not erase every area of the background and will sometimes erase parts of the images that I do not want erasing. Downloading t...

(6/17/2021) Day One at Grace Baptist Church Internship

Image
The first day at the internship at Grace Baptist Church and was three hours and sixteen minutes total. David and I were going over what type of digital media projects I could do for each week for Thursdays and Fridays. He also asked me how many hours can I do for each of those days. David wanted me to create a digital artwork based on the Parable of the Sower Illustration that he can send for the Grace Baptist Church Instagram page. David first wanted me to draw on a notebook three different bird sketches that I could do for the first part of the project. I created one realistic bird sketch, one cartoon bird sketch, and a small flying bird sketch. I then created other sketches for the dying plant and the stone ground sketch, the thorn surrounding faded flower sketch, and the flower fully bloomed sketch. David introduced me to an app called Procreate where I can take a photo of my bird sketch with the iPad and trace it out with a digital pen. After I added another layer under the one wi...
