(6/18/2021) Day Two at Grace Baptist Church Internship
Day two at the internship at Grace Baptist Church was three hours. Daniel was absent at the church from 10:00 am to 12:12 pm because he had to attend a meeting and tasked me to use Adobe Spark for the next part of my Parable of the Sower Project while he was gone. I used a light blue color for my squared background. I used pictures from google and sent them to my Gmail so that I can send them to my phone and use an app called Magic Eraser to crop them and use them to put together and create an artwork of a plant dying and the stone ground that I sketched out again but this time in a small drawing pad. It took a while to erase bits of the cropped plant image that still had tiny pieces of the background surrounding the roots that needed to be erased. I had to use websites, including Clipping Magic and RemoveBg for certain pictures because the Magic Eraser app does not erase every area of the background and will sometimes erase parts of the images that I do not want erasing. Downloading the finished cropped plant and cropped ground from my email after they were sent from my app was easy to put onto my adobe spark picture, but the hard part was the rocks. The rocks were hard to crop as the app sometimes would take parts of each rock so I finally used Clipping Magic. I then cropped each rock, copied the file, label each file for each rock, downloading them onto the adobe spark picture, and rearranging them around the plant's roots onto the soil. I even downloaded a sun, cropped it, placed it in a layer behind the plant using the layer tool. Daniel wanted the plant to look more faded with the color so I had to replace my cropped plant with the faded color, which I used LunaPic to alter the image color to Sepiatone. Since my adobe spark picture was finished I started on my other picture with the thorns surrounding the faded flower on Procreate. I was able to make the ground, flower, and some of the thorns but my artwork is still not finished yet. I was able to go from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm for day two at the church.
